Hyatt Regency Trinidad Partners with ShowClix Risk Management to Significantly Decrease Chargebacks and Fraud

Background

The Hyatt Regency Trinidad Hotel hosts the ultimate all-inclusive Carnival experience in the Caribbean called Lime. Featuring an outstanding celebrity line-up of leading performers, Lime is an action-packed party and culinary experience. Attendees can dance the night away with the musical performances, taste exquisite cuisines prepared by Hyatt Regency master chefs, luxuriate in gorgeous contemporary styled rooms, and experience the breathtaking scenery of Trinidad’s capital city, Port-of-Spain.


Challenge

With the popularity of Lime growing year after year, the Hyatt Regency Trinidad Hotel Team wanted to cut down on the number of chargebacks and prevent fraudulent purchases from occurring. Having a partner who could quickly detect suspicious activity, provide hands-on training, and reformat their current admission’s strategy was pivotal to their continued growth.


Solution

The Hyatt Regency Trinidad Hotel partnered with the ShowClix Risk Management team to develop and execute an admissions strategy that streamlined the purchase process and mitigated fraudulent activity for Lime. Using advanced tools and algorithms, ShowClix created a proprietary detection software specifically tailored to detect anomalies for their event, proactively trained and participated in attendee verification, and instituted more stringent policies on the delivery of tickets by making this a will call only event.
