Event Description

Lyndhurst’s Rose Weekend will feature a puppetry delight for all ages. In the 19th century, puppetry was becoming a very popular art form in America.  It was not only a form of entertainment for children, but also a way to share ideas and opinions among adults. The Princess and the Pea, written by Hans Christian Andersen in 1835, was very popular worldwide. The sets created for this performance resemble the Gothic architecture of Lyndhurst.

This will be performed by Kim Profacci, who will begin each show with a brief history of puppetry and end with a Q&A.

The performance will last approximately 50 minutes.
