This Turkish film recounts the tragic Dersim Massacre and the individual struggle resulting from that event. Directed by Kazim Öz, Jan embarks on a journey to to find the story of his grandmother, a survivor of the Dersim Massacre. Jan’s journey from his home in New York City to Kurdistan explores the history of one’s cultural and historic origins.
