Event Description
(2017) dir Lucrecia Martel w/Daniel Giménez Cacho [115 min, DCP]
Don Diego de Zama (Cacho), an officer of the Spanish Crown, waits in vain for a new assignment from the King while stagnating in an isolated outpost – he has already been waiting a long time. Set in 18th century South America, ZAMA, the latest from acclaimed Argentinian director Lucretia Martel (La Cienaga), is a fever-dream excoriation of colonialism with a disheveled, frustrated diplomat at its core.
A "Double Feature" ticket additionally allows admission into the 9:30 PM screening of MUSEO. No additional purchase is necessary.
