"Rhyming for Dummies"
Musical Improv Workshop
Arcade Academy is excited to offer a workshop focused on one of the fundamentals of musical improv: rhyme. Believe it or not, rhyming is not necessarily a component of singing; they are two separate neural processes that can come together to create memorable performances. We will learn how to isolate the two from each other so improvisors with all levels of "range" can feel more confident in musical scenes having the power of rhyme at their disposal. The workshop will specifically explore how to use setup and payoff for yourself or to set up a rhyme for another improviser.
This workshop is appropriate for all levels of improv experience.
Registration is $30, or $50 paired with the July 17 workshop "Voice Masterclass"
Workshop is Wednesday 6:30–9:30
Open to students age 18+
