The Wooly Coats consist of 5 members who have all played in bands that have heavily impacted the Pittsburgh Music scene. They are Rob James, Dave Minarik & Noah Minarik of The Clarks as well as Jay Wiley of The Hawkeyes and Jeff Wiley of Common Ground. The band draws its influences from an array of musical royalty including Ryan Adams & the Cardinals, Tom Petty, The Long Ryders and Steve Earle. They've only been jamming off and on for a few months in between their very busy schedules but the music they've put together thus far with a few rehearsals is beautiful "sense of the song" in mind and allows the listener to feel engaged and compelled to want more.
