About Lisa: For over 30 years, Dr. Lisa Klein has been practicing and teaching meditation and wellness to individuals and groups across our region. Through one-on-one and group instruction, and through her dynamic and engaging presentations, she has helped to change the lives of her students, shifting their energy and laying out a path to healthier living for the body, mind and spirit. Previously a high school English teacher and university instructor, Dr. Klein completed her doctorate at Duquesne University in 2008 researching the effects of meditation and its connection with self-actualization in teachers.
After 23 years of teaching English, Dr. Klein left the classroom to become a student again at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland where she earned a Master of Science degree in Mindfulness Studies, focusing on the neuroscience and psychology of mindfulness. In addition to teaching Vedic meditation, she is certified to teach both the Mindfulness Based Living Course and the Mindfulness Based Living Course for Young Adults through the Mindfulness Association of the UK.
In 2024, her book The Meditation and Mindfulness Edge was published by Routledge and has received high praise from both advanced meditators and beginners, along with people from many career fields.
