Winter Solstice Celebration

Join us for a special evening on the Winter Solstice. We will feature four acts at the Crooked Tree Arts Center presenting music in the spirit of the season through various jazz stylings, folk, and roots music.  The evening will also be hosted by a very special guest and livestream tickets are also available. 

Featured will be multi-instrumentalist Rachael Davis who is as renowned for her expressive–and explosive–voice as she is for uniting the often disparate worlds of folk, blues, country, and pop. 

Jazz guitarist Owen James, vocalist Maya Story, and talented young bassist Leif Owen offer jazz-tinged interpretations of songs from the “Great American Songbook,” as well as popular songs from many eras.

Djangophonique is a musical project born out of reverence for the Parisian Jazz Manouche style that was made popular by the legendary Sinti guitarist Django Reinhardt and his Quintette du Hot Club de France. Having met at the Crooked Tree Arts Center School of Music in Petoskey, MI each member of the band “The Hype” brings their own style jazz, blues, and rock'n'roll to the stage!
