With 20 Time Magazine covers under his belt, including every president since Richard Nixon, famed portrait photographer William Coupon is considered one of the best in his field. He has photographed world leaders, including Yassar Arafat, Kofi Annan, and Prince Philip; musicians such as Mick Jagger, George Harrison, and Prince; and completed major advertising campaigns for Apple Computer, FedEx, and the Ford Motor Company. Portraits is a carefully curated collection of his body of work to date. Join us on election eve for an evening with this very talented photographer.
Coupon will host a multi-media presentation of his work in the Morris & Rae Frank Theater. A champagne reception will follow the author talk. Portraits from the book will be featured on the walls of the Main Street Gallery.
About the Author:
William Coupon is an American photographer. He attended Syracuse University and ultimately moved to New York to begin his photographic career. He began in 1979 to photograph backdrop portraits of New York’s youth culture. Commercial work soon followed for a variety of international magazines, record companies and advertising agencies. He has photographed 15 Time Magazine covers – including portraits of all the Presidents since Richard Nixon. These include the Clinton and Bush Person of the Year covers. He has photographed some of the world’s leaders and won several awards through assignments for Esquire, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, People, Details, The Economist, Texas Monthly, Playboy, Forbes, Fortune, and many other international publications. He has an extensive catalog of environmental portrait color images - including numerous celebrities and politicians.
