Event Description
Double Feature with ET LA FEMME CREA HOLLYWOOD
(1929) dir Dorothy Arzner w/Clara Bow, Frederic March, Marceline Day [77 min; 35mm]
Silent star Clara Bow’s first talkie – directed by Dorothy Arzner – helped to prove not only the viability of the sound film but also the versatility of its director who reportedly devised a new piece of equipment to ease Bow’s transition to sound: the boom mic. Set at a women’s college, THE WILD PARTY tells of the illicit romance between a hard-partying co-ed (Bow) and a stuffed-shirt professor (March).
A "Double Feature" ticket additionally allows admission into the 7:00 screening of ET LA FEMME CREA HOLLYWOOD. No additional purchase is necessary.
