Event Description

‘The next day, there’s a message from Miss Birdy. “We cannot give your boy his bottle.  The milk you left was wild. Please bring better milk.”’

Wild Milk is a spellbinding and dreamlike collection of short stories; an off-kilter series of otherworldly fairy tales about modernity, anxiety, and motherhood.

Sabrina Orah Mark, the author of the poetry collections The Babies and Tsim Tsum, will discuss her first short story collection with Amber Dermont,  associate professor of English and creative writing at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia and the author of the story collection Damage Control and the novel The Starboard Sea.

Mid-Sentence presents a series of conversations with groundbreaking literary voices. Indie authors and cult favorites explore the intersections between literature and lived experience.

ASL interpretation and real-time (CART) captioning available upon request. Please submit your request at least two weeks in advance by emailing accessibility@nypl.org.
