Washington Irving's Christmas Stories

Washington Irving put our village on the Halloween map with his fantastic short story, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" over 200 hundred years ago, but did you know he had a hand in shaping the way Christmas is celebrated in America, too?

Really? How, you say? Come find out on Saint Nicholas Day, December 6th, for a late afternoon reading of some of Irving's wonderful Christmas tales and an explanation of how the famous author influenced not one, but two major holidays!
