Synopsis:
Professor Incredible’s Long Lost Pittsburgh History Tour
So you think you know Pittsburgh? Think again. Join us on a jaw-dropping “virtual” tour where we’ll visit--through pictures and stories--sites that changed the world. Brought to you by the creators of Haunted Pittsburgh, Haydn Thomas, the dean of Pittsburgh tour guides, will virtually take you to:
●Where Major James Grant sent hundreds of soldiers to their deaths in one of the stupidest attacks in military history (and, yes, Grant Street is named after him).
●Where a lookout spotted Pinkerton guards on their way to the infamous Homestead strike--the lookout warned the strikers, and the result was the worst day in American labor history.
●Where George Westinghouse's revolutionary air brake was given a hair-raising, unplanned tryout--to save a man's life.
●Where Pittsburghers prevented a full-blown civil war at the high water mark of the Whiskey Rebellion--by throwing a picnic and getting the rebels drunk.
●Where abolitionists decided to launch the national Republican Party to stop the spread of slavery.
●Where the modern zombie craze was born -- fans of "Walking Dead" et al. take note.
●Where the Lewis and Clark expedition really started. And much more.
