R&B - Venice Baroque Orchestra

Baroque Concertos
Vivaldi and the Apotheosis of the Concerto in the 18th Century

Originating from the hometown of Antonio Vivaldi, Venice Baroque Orchestra has appeared in more cities across the United States than any other Baroque orchestra in history. This prestigious 16-member ensemble will add Pittsburgh to the list with a blockbuster program of six concertos and a sinfonia by Vivaldi himself, including his famous double concerto for two cellos (RV 531). Concluding the program is Francesco Geminiani’s catchy, crowd-pleasing concerto grosso in D minor, “La Follia.”

The box office opens at 7 PM, doors at 7:30 PM, concert at 8 PM, post-concert cash bar until 10:15 PM. No assigned seats. All three levels will be open.

Carnegie Music Hall is located at 4400 Forbes Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. In addition to street parking, the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh operate a six-level parking facility for cars and small vans. The entrance is located at the intersection of S. Craig Street and Forbes Avenue. For more details on parking, view this page at the Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures website.
