VCU Symphony

Finnish composer Jean Sibelius wrote his Symphony No. 1 in E minor, Op. 39, at the turn of the 20th century, in 1899, when he was 34. The symphony features a wide range of emotionally captivating musical moments, with its rich melodies, and lush harmonies.

The other piece on the program is Walton's Viola Concerto, featuring the VCU Symphony Concerto Competition winner Caleb Paxton.

Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 at the door. Free for VCU students with ID.
