Event Description

Two masterful tributes featuring the music of Carole King and James Taylor are coming to The Newton Theatre. Home Again leaves no stone unturned, covering the entire repertoire of the multi-award winning singer/songwriter Carole King. Included on the list are songs Carole wrote & recorded on her own as well as songs she wrote that were recorded by other musicians. She made her mark with ‘Tapestry’ in 1971 but was already a well established songwriter for over a decade starting with her first hit in 1960 “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” recorded by the Shirelles.

Home Again, comprised of professional musicians who have been working together for over 30 years, is dedicated to preserving Carole’s legacy. The band includes - Deb De Lucca (Carole): Piano & lead vocals, Keith Droz: Drums & vox, Bobby Sproviero: Bass & vox, Rich Weiner: Acoustic & Electric guitar, John McDonough: keyboards & vox, Stantawn Kendrick: Sax & flute. Home Again pays tribute to the singer/songwriter while also adding our own musicianship, interpreting her songs with love & respect.

Sam Hyman’s “Almost JT” show is a masterful tribute to the music of James Taylor. Sam’s unique guitar style, soulful voice, original songs and interpretations of timeless classics have captivated thousands of audiences the world over. Musician, vocalist and composer, Sam’s original music has been featured in television and theatrical productions around the globe. Sam’s uncanny resemblance to James, and his astonishing capture of Taylor’s vocal and guitar styles leaves audiences feeling like they’ve just seen and heard the legend himself and applauding for more!
