The Booker Prize–winning novelist returns to LIVE with his most overtly political novel in over a decade. The Golden House pits the lives of an enigmatic billionaire and his three grown sons living in one of Greenwich Village’s most rarefied neighborhoods against those of a young filmmaker, an ambitious Russian expat, and a villainous presidential candidate called The Joker. Joined by Paul Holdengräber, Rushdie will share stories behind this latest book, a modern fable of love and betrayal, of terrorism and politics, and of the splinters that secrets drive between all of us.
NOTE: Tickets for this event include a copy of Salman Rushdie's new book, The Golden House. Additional copies of the book may be purchased onsite.
