Long considered one of Stanley Kubrick's most influential and frightening films, The Shining tells the story of Jack (Jack Nicholson) and his wife Wendy (Shelly Duvall) and child Danny (Danny Llyod). After becoming isolated during the long winter months in a secluded hotel, Danny has strange visions and Jack's sinister impulses are cultivated by malevolent spirits.
