Learn more about the talented Mr. Irving, his enormous impact on American Literature and the enduring appeal of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", now in its Bicentennial!  Don't miss this chance to celebrate The Legend Turns 200.

It's a fun way to spend an hour exploring the south end of the cemetery!

COVID-19 POLICY:  Masks must be worn at all times by everyone on tour without exception for the safety of all guests and our staff. If you are unable to wear a mask for medical reasons or have a very young child in tow, we regret being unable to welcome you this year. Refusal to wear a mask properly will result in being asked to leave the grounds.

Please note that if only 1 ticket shows as available during the purchase process that is the only (i.e., last) ticket available. Due to COVID-19 protocols, group size is strictly monitored and cannot be increased. Only 4 tickets can be purchased at one time. If you need more than 4, purchase them in separate transactions. 

Dates: Monday through Friday in October from 11:00 a.m. - 12 noon and 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Location: Sleepy Hollow Cemetery South Gate, 430 North Broadway.

Parking:  There is plenty of free parking inside the gate.

Skill level: This tour includes a steep hill, some stairs and grassy, unpaved gravel roads. There is no place to sit down during the tour.  Please consider your own abilities before purchasing tickets.  Feel free to call the office to discuss any specific concerns.  

Refunds, exchanges: All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds unless tour/event is canceled.

Weather: Sleepy Hollow Cemetery walking tours run rain or shine. If a tour is canceled due to severe weather such as high winds, lightning, or heavy rain, we will promptly refund the ticket purchase price, less processing fees.  Cancellations will be posted at least one hour before tour time on our website and Facebook page.  We will also contact you via the email and phone number provided during the purchase process.
