Event Description

A dramatic tale of love, intrigue, and great music told in music, words, and photographs based on the compelling new book, The Nightingale’s Sonata. It is the story of legendary Curtis violin faculty member, Lea Luboshutz, and her musical family presented by, her grandson and biographer, Thomas Wolf.  Wolf will take us from the shores of the Black Sea to the great concert halls of Europe and America and recount tales of the early days of Curtis.

Curtis violin and piano student Ray Ushikubo and pianist Wei Luo will perform the Franck sonata for violin and piano, a work Lea championed.

The first 100 attendees will receive a free copy of Wolf's book (one per family) and a book signing will follow the performance. Additional copies will be available for sale.
