10th Annual Taste of Washington

The Greater Washington County Food Bank will host its 10th annual “Taste of Washington”, featuring foods from more than 20 local restaurants, Thursday, October 19th at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino Event Center in North Strabane.  The evening will be filled with fun, food, drinks, music, auctions for prizes, and giveaways with all proceeds benefiting the Greater Washington County Food Bank.

Guests can mingle while sampling flavorful foods from various local restaurants and cast a vote for the event’s “Best Dish” award.  Participating restaurants include Palazzo 1873 Ristorante, Fusion Japanese Steakhouse, Buford’s Kitchen, Parley Lounge, Bistecca Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Toscana Brick Oven, Snails & Quails Catering, Montana’s Rip & Chop House and more.

“This fun-filled event is a perfect way for guests to get a sampling of the many fine foods offered throughout Washington County, while helping families who are less fortunate.” said Connie Burd, executive director of the Greater Washington County Food Bank.

The Food Bank hopes to raise nearly $20,000 to benefit its 45 food distribution sites, seven agencies and several school weekend programs throughout Washington County.

Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance for $40 ($45 at the door). Tickets are also available at The Meadows Casino Gift Shop.  The event begins at 6:00 p.m. and concludes at 9:00 p.m.
