A seasoned comedian and celebrated radio personality, Rudy first made history as the youngest host of the legendary Showtime at the Apollo, the longest-running African American syndicated television show. His sharp wit and magnetic stage presence quickly set him apart, earning opportunities to work alongside comedy giants like Dave Chappelle, Martin Lawrence, and Jamie Foxx on major projects including Laff-A-Palooza. Known for pushing creative boundaries, Rudy has headlined his own stand-up specials on Comedy Central and HBO, and appeared in top-tier shows like Kevin Hart’s Heart of the City, Premium Blend, Harlem to Hollywood on Showtime, and Def Comedy Jam 25 on Netflix. A veteran of the nationally syndicated Doug Banks Morning Show, Rudy has hosted countless live events across the country — including the Showtime at the Apollo Kids Tour sponsored by McDonald’s, and the 2017 Soul Beach Music Festival featuring Usher and Mary J. Blige. He also brought his storytelling talents to the national stage as host of NPR’s acclaimed The Moth Radio Hour tour.

On the airwaves, Rudy made a major splash at iHeartMedia’s 93.7 The Beat in Houston, where his afternoon show, The Rush Hour with Rudy Rush, hit record-breaking numbers and claimed the #1 spot for drive-time radio in the city.
