SEASON TWO SYNOPSIS: Cartoonist Keef Knight is now a popular activist on the rise, but he’s facing a world where “woke” has become big business. Can Keef and his friends bring about real change, or is it just about the dollar$? And can Keef navigate this new world without destroying what he’s become? Inspired by the life and work of artist Keith Knight, "Woke" continues to upend Black nerd and activist culture, deftly satirizing with a wink and a smile.

CAST: The series stars Lamorne Morris, Blake Anderson, T. Murph, Sasheer Zamata and JB Smoove.


  


CREDITS: "Woke" was developed by Marshall Todd and Keith Knight. The co-creators serve as executive producers alongside Anthony King, Maurice “Mo” Marable, Richie Schwartz, John Will, Will Gluck, and Eric Christian Olsen. The comedy is a co-production between Sony Pictures Television and ABC Signature.

T. Murph is an American comedian, actor and writer that broke out of the Chicago comedy scene and has been quickly rising ever since. ​​


T. Murph will soon return to his starring role in Hulu's comedy series, WOKE alongside Lamorne Morris, Blake Anderson and Sasheer Zamata. Set to return for season two on April 8, the show is inspired by the life and work of African​ American cartoonist Keith Knight. WOKE is remarkably unique in its blend of comedy, socially conscious storytelling, and in including expertly deployed flights of unexpected ​animation. T. Murph stars as ‘Clovis,’ a character who is part of the show's central trio and brings an original perspective and voice to the series. T. Murph has been hailed as “scene stealing and ​hilarious” by ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY, “the most consistently funny aspect of the show” by THE NEW YORK TIMES, and “the breakout... who steals every scene he’s in” by INDIEWIRE. Since its premiere, the series has helped spark important social conversations.​​


T. Murph’s notable Television credits include SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, KEY & PEELE, COMEDY CENTRAL's KEVIN HEART: THE NEXT LEVEL, EPIX, GET SHORTY, NBC'S CHICAGO FIRE and BET's COMIC VIEW, among others.  ​


A true powerhouse onscreen and onstage, T. Murph has toured extensively across the country’s most prominent comedy clubs, colleges, and festivals, and has performed at the NBC Diversity Finals ​Showcase, HBO's American Black Film Festival, New York Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs, and the Second City Breakout Festival, among countless others. ​​


T. Murph currently resides in Chicago with his wife.​
