Such Things As Flowers

Choral Arts Initiative’s 2016 Season of Renewal features a diverse palate of new choral works centered on the theme of hope, resilience, and humanity. Offering a total of four performances, we are thrilled to present our most exciting season yet!

Join us in celebrating the sounds and images of springtime! Choral Arts Initiative’s first program, “Such Things as Flowers,” invokes and interweaves four main components: music, sea, flowers, and earth. This program features the premiere of "As Is The Sea Marvelous", our PREMIERE|Project selection, by Matthew Hazzard, and numerous west coast premieres, to include: "Come to the Woods" by Jake Runestad, "April and the Sun" by Jocelyn Hagen, and "As there are Flowers" by Colin Britt. The program will also include additional works by Matthew Harris, Craig Hella Johnson, Bradley Ellingboe, Dale Trumbore, and Eric Whitacre.
