Steeltown Film Factory Event

Steeltown’s 6th annual Film Factory event is an evening to celebrate independent filmmaking in Southwestern Pennsylvania and will feature, “Franksgiving,” the Ellen Weiss Kander Award winner of the 2014 Film Factory Competition. Local filmmakers share their experiences about how they made their films here in Pittsburgh.  Steeltown will also announce its new development/mentorship program. Written and directed by Stephen Knezovich,“Franksgiving” is a real Pittsburgh story. Frank (Tony Bingham) is a bowling legend known for his ability to throw strikes and dominate the local Thanksgiving bowling-for-turkeys contest. When he has a bout of bad luck, he gets creative.
