After a brief hiatus due to covid, Jon Lehning is excited to bring another project back to Pausa - The music of living master Kenny Garrett.
Kenny Garret is an American saxophone and flute player, born in Detroit, Michigan, on October 9, 1960. His Album Songbook was released in 1997, for which he received a Grammy Nomination for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance. With his illustrious career that includes hallmark stints with Miles Davis, Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers, Donald Byrd, Freddie Hubbard, Woody Shaw and the Duke Ellington Orchestra, as well as a heralded career as a solo artist that began more than 30 years ago, Kenny Garrett is easily recognized as one of modern jazz’s brightest and most influential living masters. Come join us for a night of music written by one of the preeminent voices in jazz today. They will be performing selections from the multiple decades of his work as a leader and as a sideman. Thanks for supporting PAUSA art house, our musicians and live music in Buffalo. "Life is better with friends"
