Celebrating the 5th Anniversary since its creation Eclectic Edge Ensemble and Mad Munchkin Productions are bringing back Snow Bound! A Journey from Autumn to Spring.
Our human experience of winter interpreted through forms from the natural world as the performance journeys from fall to spring. A huge snow dragon ushers winter onto the stage and presents a snow globe. Every time the globe is shaken a shadow puppet sequence transitions the play from one feeling of winter to another. Puppets ranging from hibernating animals to night stars are combined with dancers as snowflakes and living snowdrifts to communicate those emotions tied to winter. Snow Bound! is an infusion of puppetry and dance. Music created by local composers Warren Park, Nathaniel Kling, Brian Erickson and Richard Sloss. They provide a rich score for our performers to bring the journey of Snow Bound to life.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
