Join us at SNFL to hear the "buzz" directly from authors and publishing industry professionals about new and upcoming titles in Romance. Free and advance copies available while supplies last!
This event will take place in person at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library on the 7th Floor.
The 7 Stories Up Book Buzz will be a delightful evening filled with literature, engaging discussions, and opportunities to meet authors and fellow passionate book lovers. Here's what to expect:
- Attend panels featuring Romance writers
- Learn about new and upcoming titles from Penguin Random House staff
- Browse free and advanced reader copies of titles by a range of authors in the Romance genre
- Giveaways while supplies last
To join the event in person | Doors will open 30 minutes before the program begins. For free events, we generally overbook to ensure a full house. Priority will be given to those who have registered in advance, but registration does not guarantee admission. All registered seats are released shortly before start time, and seats may become available at that time. A standby line will form 30 minutes before the program.
To view the livestream | Whether you're attending in person or online, you must register with your email address. You will need a device with audio and/or video and an internet/cellular connection to view the livestream.
FEATURED SPEAKERS
Abiola Abrams is a spiritual teacher, intuitive coach and award-winning author whose work spans fiction, nonfiction and personal development. She is the author of the forthcoming novel Honey Goddess, the debut novel DARE, and multiple popular nonfiction titles including African Goddess Initiation, From Imagination to Reality, and The Divine Frequency. She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and holds an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. For more than twenty years, Abiola has led goddess circles in community spaces, private gatherings and international retreats, from Bali to Belize. She lives on the East Coast with her high energy toddler.
Heather Eng is a third-generation Chinese American and a native New Yorker who grew up in working-class Queens. A lifelong writer, she earned a B.S. in journalism from Boston University, and worked as a newspaper journalist, web editor, and senior marketing leader in the tech industry. Heather lives in Manhattan with her husband and daughter. Double Happiness is her first novel.
Kristina Forest is the USA Today bestselling author of romance books for both teens and adults. She earned her MFA in creative writing at The New School and lives in New Jersey, where she can often be found rearranging her bookshelf.
Katie Holt is a New York City resident but a Tennessee native. She studied English with a concentration in creative writing at NYU and fought with every professor to prove that romance novels were worthy of their time. She’s a Nora Ephron fanatic, Swiftie, and warm chocolate chip cookie enthusiast. Katie is also the author of her highly-acclaimed debut Not in My Book.
Jennifer O'Brien is the founder of the popular design site City Farmhouse. After her dream of buying a fixer-upper fell through, she wrote about one instead. She lives on Long Island with her husband, two boys, and fur baby.
Tom Vellner is a writer, editor, and mediocre tennis player. A former staff writer at BuzzFeed, he has also contributed to VICE, Thrillist, ACLU Magazine, and more. He lives in the Hudson Valley with his husband and two dogs. Thirty Love is his debut novel.
