Who doesn’t know a play or poem by William Shakespeare, the Bard of Avon? Composers through the ages have delighted in writing music inspired by his words. Come share the joy as the Bach Choir performs works by Verdi, Rossini, Vaughn Williams, Sondheim and more in the beautiful Hicks Memorial Chapel.

Songs within Shakespeare: pre-concert reception and discussion
November 9, 7:00 PM, November 10, 3:30 PM. (30 minutes prior to the start of each concert.)
Enjoy light refreshments while taking in an engaging discussion on the relationship between music and Shakespeare's plays. Each pre-concert talk will include a special guest and will be led by writer, actor, and singer Yvonne Hudson, known for her long-running solo show Mrs. Shakespeare, Will's First & Last Love. A board member of Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks, Yvonne researches Shakespearean biography and the continual production of his plays. Pre-concert talk and reception are complimentary with your ticket purchase.
