Scouting Program

This is a 75-minute educational program for Girl and Boy Scout troops aboard a reproduction 18th-century sloop. A historical interpreter will lead the troop in learning about knot-tying, navigation skills, and mechanical advantage. Scouts will learn skills useful in both sailing and land-based adventures and hear stories of notable sailors throughout history who made a name for themselves with their quick wits and daring.

The Tall Ship Providence scouting program can be scheduled for your troop on Saturday and Sunday mornings, 9am-10:15am, or 10:30-11:45am.

This program can be booked with a minimum of 8 scouts, up to 12 total scouts.  There is no charge for up to 3 chaperones.  Please make sure your group’s ratio of Scouts to adults is compliant with the requirements of any affiliated scouting organization. We recommend this program for Scouts ages 8-13.

Cost is $18 per scout and includes a fun patch.
