On the pages and the stages, Sam Adams is a unique and talented storyteller who has earned high praises as an award-winning comedian, journalist and speaker. Sam’s career in entertainment began at age 49, after he became the Great American Comedy Festival’s most unique winner. Sam won the 2009 festival’s amateur contest, then placed second after being asked to compete against the professionals. In 2018, the “True Color” video clip from Sam’s Dry Bar Comedy special generated over 10 million Facebook views in less than 72 hours. The clip now has more than 35 million social media views. In 2019 Sam Adams became the first AfricanAmerican sports journalist inducted to the Hall of Fame for the prestigious Denver Press Club — the oldest press club in America.
