Oliver proves to be a quick study in the rules, the people, and the chances to make good on this once-in-a-lifetime experience, as he gets to know each of Saltburn’s eccentric and decadent residents, including Elspeth Catton, Felix’s mother, the imperious former It Girl perfectly portrayed by Rosamund Pike; her aristocrat husband, Sir James (Richard Grant); Venetia, Felix’s lost soul sister, and Academy Award winner Carey Mulligan in a memorable performance as Poor Dear Pamela. It turns out everyone living at Saltburn is as fascinated by Oliver as Oliver is by them. For all, it’s a summer never to be forgotten.
