Event Description
Join Sally and Ian Bethmann for an evening of Broadway favorites at Music Mountain Theatre. The pair recently appeared in “The Sound Of Music” at Music Mountain and are excited to be back on stage again. Sally has been performing in the area since age 10. Some of her favorite roles include Maria in The Sound Of Music and Philia in Funny Thing…Forum. Ian completed his masters in vocal performance from Temple University. Some of his favorite roles have been Dulcamara” from Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, and Count Almaviva” in Le nozze di Figaro. Sally and Ian are very excited to share some of their favorite songs with you during the concert.
Ian Bethmann is a professional vocalist in the Philadelphia area. Ian holds a M.M in Voice Performance from Temple University where he studied under Dr. Marcus DeLoach and a B.M. in Voice Performance from Messiah University where he studied under Dr. Damian Savarino. Recent roles include “Count Almaviva” in Le nozze di Figaro, “Vater” from Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, “Dulcamara” from Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, and “Courtier” from Verdi’s Rigoletto. He was most recently seen at MMT in The Sound Of Music as Baron Elberfeld and others. Ian would like to thank MMT for the opportunity to perform this concert.
Sally Bethmann is so excited to be back on the MMT stage alongside her husband. Most recently she appeared as Maria in The Sound Of Music at Music Mountain. Sally has been singing and dancing for as long as she can remember. Sally holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Messiah University with a vocal concentration. She now specializes in Early Childhood Music. When not onstage, Sally can be found teaching parent and child music classes through her business, The Little Music Corner, dedicated to bringing music to young children. Additionally, she teaches, choreographs, and directs with many local theatre programs for children sharing her love for this art form with the next generation of stars. Sally would like to thank MMT for their kindness to her and Ian.
