Online Workshop: Guessing Games

Saturday May 30 3:00pm-5:00pm
Guessing games are a staple of short form improv, but how can we elevate these scenes so they’re more than a party game? This workshop from Matt Solter and Kevin O’Brien will help you hack the secrets to a strong guessing game scene with tips for the guesser, the clue givers, and the hosts. Topics include how to handle gaps in your pop culture knowledge, how to stay in scenework mode instead of lapsing into screaming “baby fish mouth!” repeatedly, and new ways to play Abraham Lincoln on stage.
In consideration of the economic hardship many are facing during this time, we are offering tiered pricing:
$20 list price
$10 reduced price for those in need (limited availability)
$30 donor price to support Arcade and this special pricing structure
Instructors: Kevin O'Brien and Matt Solter
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Participants will need access to a computer with a stable internet connection. The workshop will be conducted over Zoom, which requires creating a free account.
