Online Workshop: BYOB (Bring Your Own Brick)

Sunday May 24 3:00pm-5:00pm
“Bring a brick, not a cathedral” - an improv maxim that can be easier said than done. The characters, premises, and specific ideas individual performers bring into a scene are crucial, but the true improv magic happens when the ensemble finds what a scene is in the moment, and performers and the audience can share that feeling of discovery. This workshop will help relieve you of pressure to “carry a scene” or be “quick-witted and clever” and help you experience the comedic joy of finding the funny with your scene partners.
In consideration of the economic hardship many are facing during this time, we are offering tiered pricing:
$20 list price
$10 reduced price for those in need (limited availability)
$30 donor price to support Arcade and this special pricing structure
Instructor: Jocelyn Hillen
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Participants will need access to a computer with a stable internet connection. The workshop will be conducted over Zoom, which requires creating a free account.
