Event Description

Before taking the club and festival scene by storm, The Stagecoach Robbery spent their formative months as a band woodshedding in a small shack deep in the backwoods of New Philadelphia, OH. The band spent long nights in this tiny room, perfecting their craft and learning how to gel as a unit. The result of these sessions is one of eastern Ohio’s finest original rock bands who has spent the past several years recruiting a solid fanbase and turning heads throughout the region.

The Stagecoach Robbery’s unique sound is a mixture of pop-rock, southern-rock, funk, and prog-rock. Striving to keep their sound fresh, the band’s songs run the gamut of hook-laden, sing-along numbers, fist pumping arena rockers, and intricate, yet subtly complex instrumental compositions. While elements of their influences are clear, The Stagecoach Robbery is something all its own.

Tristan Ankrom is the band’s primary vocalist and rhythm guitarist. When Ankrom steps up to the microphone and belts out his self-penned lyrics, the room immediately takes notice. John McCarron’s lead guitar playing is the instrumental counterpart to Ankrom’s vocals. McCarron’s lead runs ebb and flow, both soaring and at times pleasantly understated. While both Ankrom and McCarron have their separate roles in The Stagecoach Robbery, they often work as a team, with fine crafted vocal harmonies and Steely Dan style dual guitar riffs. Seth “Swig” Swegheimer drives the band with his hard-rock turned funky style drumming. Swig is a master at keeping the dance floor rocking, while Marcus “Quimby” Dreher is the grandson of groove. Quimby ties all of The Stagecoach Robbery’s elements together and gets the ladies on the dance floor.

The Stagecoach Robbery is steadily growing and promoters would be wise to get on the train before it pulls too far from the station. They’ve already played venues and events such as House of Blues Cleveland, Beachland Ballroom, the crooked i, Waterfest, Peace Through Music Festival, Tribal Connections, Gathering At Chaffee’s, and shared the stage with bands like ekoostik hookah, Strange Arrangement, Waterband, Big Leg Emma, and The Recipe.
