CHOOSING A STARTING WINERY & GETTING YOUR TICKETS:

You will purchase passes by selecting a starting winery. This is where you will pick up your passes and begin your Rosé in May tasting. After visiting your starting winery, you are free to visit remaining participating wineries in any order you choose.

As the purchaser, you will present your state-issued photo ID (driver’s license) to get your ticket. Only the purchaser (name on the order) can pick up the tickets.

Keep your tasting pass with you, as you will need to present at each participating winery. Printouts or screenshots of the confirmation email do not qualify. The tasting pass will list the participating wineries along with basic parameters.

Each starting winery is given a limited quantity of tasting passes. If you are planning to attend the event with friends or family (but remember, no groups of more than 6), it is important to purchase at one time or on one order, to guarantee that all attendees will have the same starting winery. Please remember, bundles of tasting passes can only be picked up by the person who ordered them and orders cannot be split out after the sale.

TASTING PASSES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND OUR EVENTS ARE NOT CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER

Our event tasting passes and/or tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the event, you may transfer your entire order to someone else. A transfer means, that all tickets purchased on one order are transferred to another person (orders cannot be split). Then you are responsible for securing payment from that person. Tickets may only be resold at face value. For instructions on how to do this, please contact the Trail Office: 877-536-2717.

Our events are typically never canceled, this includes for weather unless the state closes the highways along the Wine Trail.

We encourage you to exercise the option to purchase ticket insurance and review the terms carefully. This is provided through a third party and will be an option as you proceed through the check out on our website. If you purchase insurance, you will receive a separate email giving you the opportunity to review it in more detail and cancel if you change your mind -- please review that immediately.

However, if we are required to cancel the event due to unforseen circumstances, tickets will be automatically refunded back to the original method of payment. In the event this happens, we will make the announcement on our website, our Facebook page, and via email to those who have purchased tickets through us. You will not need to contact us to receive a refund. Refunds may take extra time to process so please be patient. It may take up to 30 days to see the credit to your account. If you do not receive a refund within that timeframe, please contact us: 877-536-2717

YOU MUST BRING PROOF OF AGE

If you intend to taste wine, you must bring a valid form of government-issued photo ID, showing proof of age. Legally, each winery is responsible for checking identification, so it is possible and highly likely that you will be proofed at more than one winery and possibly more than once in the same tasting room (before tasting and again before buying, for example). Do not leave your ID in your hotel room or vehicle! If you cannot present valid proof of ID, you will be refused service. Our wineries check identification as a requirement of the law, not to offend or inconvenience you.

WINE TASTINGS

Each attendee with a Rosé in May tasting includes one rosé plus three additional wines. Please note that a person with two or passes *WILL NOT* be served additional samples. This promotes overconsumption, is not supported by the Trail Office, and does not follow event policy. Please drink plenty of non-alcoholic beverages between tastings to keep your palate fresh and stay hydrated. We want everyone to enjoy the weekend safely.

PLEASE ENJOY RESPONSIBLY

The Seneca Lake Wine Trail supports responsible enjoyment of our wonderful wineries. We recommend the use of designated drivers while exploring our Trail. Legally, wineries may not serve alcohol to a visibly intoxicated person, even if they have a designated driver. If you are visibly intoxicated (and this judgment is at the discretion of the winery staff), you will not be served.

OTHER TIPS

  • Dress in layers or bring a sweater/jacket. Some tastings may take place in barrel rooms or cooler areas of the wineries.

  • Snacks, bottled water, and other nonalcoholic beverages between stops can help you preserve your palate as well as keep you hydrated.

  • We will follow whatever COVID-related protocols are in place at the time of the event. Please maintain social distance, follow protocols, wash your hands frequently, and bring a mask with you, just in case it’s needed. We will update ticket holders of changes in event protocols via email, our website, and Facebook page, in that order.

  • Do not attend the event if you are not feeling well, are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or have knowingly been exposed to or suspect you have been exposed to COVID-19.
