Rolling Wheels Half-Mile

Gates Open at 2:00pm; Racing Begins at 6:00pm

American Flat Track returns to Elbridge, New York on Saturday, July 8 for the Rolling Wheels Half-Mile at Rolling Wheels Raceway. Last year marked a return to the Empire State after an eight-year absence and the New York fans packed the grandstands for a night of bar-to-bar racing on the half-mile’s signature synthetic surface.

Jared Mees Racing put on a masterclass performance to beat rival Bryan Smith Racing by 1.555 seconds, an important win for the three-time Grand National Champion as the clock wound down in the title chase. 

While the GNC1 (now AFT Twins) championship was heating up, Ryan Wells Racing put his GNC2 (now AFT Singles) championship to bed. A second-place finish was enough for the New York-native to secure his first professional championship in front of the home crowd. It will be another great homecoming in 2017 for the 2016 GNC2 Champion as Wells makes the move up to the premier class and lines up against the best flat trackers in the world.
