Grounds Passes and Rock Garden Society Plant Sale

Entrance onto the grounds during our Rock Garden Society Plant Sale is free, but registration is required! Please register and visit our Plant Sale! 

The Hudson Valley Rock Garden Society invites you to our annual Spring/Mother’s Day Sale. You will find many plants not usually offered by the big box stores-unusual primrose, and rock garden favorites like dwarf columbine and gentian. Also, from our many years of gardening experience at Lyndhurst we offer deer-resistant plants like allium, artemisia, carnation, geranium, and alpine baby’s breath. You will find something special that suits your needs for your garden and this sale is not to be missed! Proceeds from this sale benefit the Hudson Valley Rock Garden Society and their continued maintenance of the rock garden beds at Lyndhurst.

Rock Garden Society Plant Sale is from 10am to 4pm.

10am-4pm  Don Dembowski with the Hudson Valley Chapter. Of the North American Rock Garden Society 

11am-4pm  Muriel Fleurs  artisan floral designer selling local and seasonal cut flower bouquets with a French wildflower flair. 

2pm-4pm Nick Storrs of Homegrown Nursery will be selling locally grown organic veg plants 

2pm-3:30pm Mother’s Day Floral Design Demonstration with Store-Bought Bouquet 


Please stop and check-in at the Front Gate before continuing onto the property. 

A Grounds Pass is required for entry to the Lyndhurst property seven days a week and offers general admission to the property between the hours of 9:30 am and 4:00 pm as the property closes at 5:00 pm.

• The Grounds Pass is only good for the day you are coming to the grounds.


• A Grounds Pass is necessary for those entering the property by car or on foot through the main gate.


• A Grounds Pass allows entry rain or shine and is not refundable.


• Please have your tickets ready on your mobile phone to show the gate attendant.


• Picnicking is allowed, we ask that you carry out what you carry in.


• Bowling Alley Restrooms are open daily 9:30 am - 5:00 pm, May through the end of October.


• Welcome Center Restrooms are open Thursdays-Tuesday 9:30 am - 4:00 pm, April through the end of October. 


• Children ages 5 and under do not need a Grounds Pass.
