Event Description

A timely and trenchant history of the fight against sexual harassment.

From the first tales of workplace harassment in the 1970s, the political scandals and campus movements of the 1990s, to #MeToo and beyond: are the men behind abuses of power finally getting their just deserts? Reckoning: The Epic Battle Against Sexual Abuse and Harassment tells the story of the movement now gaining steam as pioneering women in the media have exposed the Harvey Weinsteins of the world and flooded the political landscape; it shows the ways the walls of male privilege are beginning to crack.

Linda Hirshman, lawyer and author of Sisters in Law: How Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg Went to the Supreme Court and Changed the World will be joined in conversation by Sharyn Tejani, the Director of the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund.
