One of the best first-person-horror films to emerge in the wake of The Blair Witch Project, REC takes place almost completely within the walls of a Spanish apartment building where what seems like a ‘rage zombie’ type outbreak is taking place. Not to spoil anything but the real cause of the problem turns out to be an unholy merging of medical and spiritual experimentation.
