Event Description
Introducing Portland's First Annual Comedy Pageant - a comedy competition for all forms of comedy! Fifty comedic acts will compete over 4 weeks to amuse panelists and audiences to battle for the crown and title of Portland Comedy Royalty.
- Each act will have 5 minutes to perform
- Panelists will score acts based on Audience Reaction, pizzaz, and content
- The Audience will vote for their favorites
- Scores will be tallied at the end of the competition and winners will be announced during our Friday, August 16th show
- The winner of the pageant receive the crown, the glory, and will headline a showcase on Friday, September 13th
- Other Pageant award winners will perform in the showcase on Friday, September 13th

- Include your tape if you can - any video (even from your cellphone) will work!
- Send your application fee here
- If you are unable to pay the admission fee, please reach out to pdx.
Selected contestants will be contacted no later than June 15th.
Please note that we are only able to accept 50 contestants and application fees are not refundable. All fees go toward Curious Comedy Theater - a non-profit organization with a mission to amplify underrepresented voices.
