Event Description

It’s almost that time of year again—when October kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness month. Breast cancer makes up about 30 percent of new cancer diagnoses in women and 15 percent of all new cancer diagnoses each year. About one in eight women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer at some point in their lives. Breast cancer can occur in anyone with breast tissue, but it’s much rarer in men than in women.

However, the rate of breast cancer cases began dropping in the year 2000 and have continued declining since. Unique Bar Crawls in partnership with American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and the Huntington Breast Cancer Action Coalition intend to grow that dropping number by continuing to raise awareness and donate funds to finding a cure. Join us on Saturday October 6, 2018 and let’s paint the town PINK

MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER:

The American Cancer Society depends on Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events to raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. And Making Strides events can't happen without people like you. Through your time, effort, and dedication, you're shining a light on the issue of breast cancer. By walking in an event, raising funds, volunteering or forming a team, you're helping the American Cancer Society find solutions through new treatments and support services. You're making a difference in the lives of so many. And for that we are grateful. For more information about Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, click here to visit their website.
