Filmslang, in partnership with the Lexington Public Library and the Lexington Film League, is thrilled to present the 20th Anniversary screening of "Pharaoh's Army" followed by a filmmaker reunion and Q&A!
Writer/Director/Editor/Producer Robby Henson, Production Coordinator Archie Borders, and Film Scorers Charles Ellis and Vince Emmett will join moderator (and former "Pharaoh's Army" PA!) Thom Sourtherland for an on-stage discussion following the film. This was one of the first films in each of their celebrated careers, so the event will provide a don't-miss conversation for young filmmakers interested in making movies right here in Kentucky!
Starring Kris Kristofferson, Patricia Clarkson, and Chris Cooper, "Pharaoh's Army" was shot in the beautiful Forkland Knobs area of Boyle County. Based on a true story as shared by Harry Caudill, the movie explores the personal conflicts of loyalty borne from the Civil War.
Tickets are $5 at the door. If you are a cast or crew member from "Pharaoh's Army" and would like to take part in the post-screening discussion, please contact us!
