Performance Class: Noir with Stacey Hallal

Prerequisite: You must have completed up to Level 5 Advanced Scenework (or equivalent classes in Performance Mastery, Longform Ensemble, and/or The Harold.) REGISTRATION REQUIRES AUDITION.

In this unique Performance Class, you will learn the tropes, techniques, and tricks-of-the-trade that make NOIR a gripping, suspenseful, and hilarious improv classic. Coached by local noir legend: Stacey Hallal–heralded as a "genuine talent" by the Oregonian for her performance in the improvised Noir series "Ruby Rocket"–this class is an opportunity to learn from a truly masterful mistress of the genre.

All students who are cast into this class will receive expert instruction on the genre and format, as well as coaching and feedback for four class performances at Curious Comedy Theater.

The class will include 6 class rehearsals and 4 performances with coaching at Curious Comedy Theater.

Stacey founded Curious in 2008 – establishing the organization as well as acquiring and building out the space. She has served as Artistic Director ever since.
