Gary Clark Jr

Gary Lee Clark Jr. (born February 15, 1984) is an American musician from Austin, Texas. He is best known for his fusion of blues, rock and soul music with elements of hip hop. Clark has shared the stage with many legends of rock and roll, including Eric Clapton, B. B. King and the Rolling Stones. Gary Clark Jr. began playing guitar at the age of twelve. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Clark played small gigs throughout his teens, until he met promoter Clifford Antone, proprietor of the Austin music club Antone's.

Devon Gilfillian

Growing up in Philadelphia on a steady diet of R&B, hip-hop, rock, blues, and soul music, Gilfillian gravitated to records that ignited his mind while making his body move. For him, listening to the towering icons of his musician father’s era—Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, The Temptations—was just as formative and exciting as discovering the new sounds of his own generation, and the beats and rhymes made by rising rap stars like Wu-Tang Clan, Kanye West, The Notorious B.I.G., and JAY Z inspired him in new ways. He began to recognize a connective thread in the sounds he loved best: from the golden throwbacks sampled by the hip-hop beat makers to the raw, emotional vocal deliveries of the Motown greats, for Gilfillian the key ingredient seemed to be the “soul”—not simply the genre, but the feeling and vibe.

Tank and the Bangas

Since the release of their major-label debut Green Balloon (Verve Forecast, 2019), Grammy-nominated Tank and the Bangas’ star continues to rise. In the past year alone, they gave standout performances at Afropunk and Newport Jazz Festival; national television performances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, and Austin City Limits; plus looks in Vogue’s September Issue, Essence and more. 2019 came to an exciting close with the announcement of their Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. The band continues to record and new music will be released in 2020.
