The Paper Kites w/ Larkin Poe

The Paper Kites are an indie-rock folk band from Melbourne Australia. The band was formed in 2010 and consists of Sam Bentley, Christina Lacy, Dave Powys, Josh Bentley and Sam Rasmussen.

The band will be performing new songs from their album, twelvefour.

Written entirely between midnight and 4AM, twelvefour explores the theory that an artist’s creative peak lays within these hours.  For two sleepless months, lead singer/guitarist Sam Bentley worked, reversing his sleep patterns and penning 30 songs in his home studio. The group then travelled to Seattle to record with Grammy-nominated producer, Phil Ek (Father John Misty, Manchester Orchestra, Fleet Foxes).

The opening act is Larkin Poe, an American Roots rock band from Atlanta, GA fronted by sisters Rebecca Lovell and Megan Lovell. Featuring strong southern harmonies, heavy electric guitar riffs, andslide guitar, they are often touted as "the little sisters of the Allman Brothers".
