Painted Ladies Bicycle Tour

During the revival of San Francisco in the 1960s, preservationists coined the term “Painted Ladies” to identify Victorian houses that were painted with a wide array of vivid colors. The “colorist movement” became popular across the country in the following decades, adding a splash of color to once drab historic districts.
