SILAS FRIESEN QUINTET WITH SPECIAL GUEST JIM BRENAN (Calgary, AB)

Winner of the WCMA Jazz Album of the Year in 2014 for January, saxophonist Jim Brenan is the featured musician-educator in our first Mentorship Weekend.  Trumpet player Silas Friesen and bandmates Eric Wong (sax), Jasmine Der (piano), Emmett Fortosky (bass), and Joel Jeschke have recently been working with Jim Brenan. Saturday night’s performance will showcase the fruits of this mentorship.
