Outdoor Improv Drop-In

This no-commitment, low-pressure drop-in class at the Trust Oasis is a fun, safe, and supportive way to spend 2 hours discovering or revisiting the art of improv comedy. Laugh behind your mask as our instructors apply their library of improv exercises, short form games, and scenework practice to meet you where you are. Newcomers will learn improv fundamentals (yes -and, agreement, initiation, object work) more experienced players will sharpen their skills in creating interesting characters, establishing environment, discovering patterns, and making bolder moves. This class is ideal for anyone looking to laugh, socialize safely, and re-ignite their creativity. Get out of the house, away from the screen, and come play with us!

Price: $35 per class 

Who’s this class for? Everyone! You'll get something out of this class if you've never improvised before or if you've been at it for years. Think of the drop-in as a trip to the improv gym, and our instructors as trainers who can help you meet your individual goals.

Safety and Guest Comfort 

We want to make sure that every class at the Oasis is safe for our students, teachers, and staff members, and we will be asking everyone to do their part in following local and state health guidelines. 

• Please stay home if you’re sick or if you’ve had contact with someone who has been sick in the last two weeks. See ticketing and refund information below.


• Laugh through your mask: masks will be required at all times.


• Comedy at a distance: all exercises and scenes will be conducted with appropriate social distancing. 


• Hand sanitizer will be available for all students.


• The Oasis is wheelchair accessible. If you would like to inquire about accessibility accommodations, please contact operations@arcadecomedytheater.com


• Arcade is unable to provide public restrooms at this venue.

Ticketing and Refunds

• No risk ticketing. We ask that if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have been diagnosed, or have been in contact with someone who has been sick, that you stay home. Arcade will provide a full refund of the ticket price (we are unable to refund service fees).


• Weather conditions: Pittsburgh weather can be unpredictable. Patrons are allowed to bring umbrellas and are encouraged to dress for the outdoors. However, safety is our top concern, and in the event of heavy rain or inclement weather the class will be cancelled and ticketholders will be notified via email.


• Other cancellations: Arcade reserves the right to cancel class with notice in the event of changes in state and local guidelines or by requests of the property owners. In the event of a cancelled class, ticket holders will be notified with as much notice as possible and given the option for a refund or to swap tickets to a future outdoor class.
